A good quick read. Interesting that she started this project long before the China recalls surfaced. Interesting to see how a family is so consumed with consumption -- but really, not unlike our own family and most I know. Interesting that she chose not to continue the boycott after the year and her reasoning for it. I think it would have been a better book if there was more background and facts in it -- like Omnivore's Dilemma and Animal, Vegetable, Miracle. But interesting picture of family dynamics. Is there any way to raise a 4 year old in America today with them wanting this cheap plastic junk?
