History of the World in Nine Guitars

History of the World in Nine Guitars - Erik Orsenna, Erik Crsenna I was expecting more of a presence of Clapton in the book. 9 guitars:Cheops, Egypt, 2500 BC. Kitar.Cuzco, Peru, 1531.Barcelona, 1580.Versailles, France. 1860.Milan, 1820.Nantes, Goree Island, Mississippi, 1800-1900.Paris, Porte D'Italie, 1928 (Django)Woodstock, 1969. (Jimi)Omo Valley, Africa, 1999 (the imaginary gathering of the guitarists, including the Beatles, sans Jimi). Maybe there wasn't enough context without my own knowledge, but I really only got into the Django and Jimi stories. Some of the early "chapters" are extremely short, 1-2 pages, so there's not that much to work with.
