Tasting Club: Gathering Together to Share and Savor Your Favorite Tastes

Tasting Club: Gathering Together to Share and Savor Your Favorite Tastes - Dina Cheney I picked this up after reading a mention of it in the Kitchen Counter Cooking School, which I enjoyed a lot. I thought it would be a great idea for getting together with friends. It is a great idea, but not one that I'm likely to implement in the near future. I enjoyed a quick read through the book though. It gave a nice overview/introduction in each of the food groups she recommends for tastings (and a thorough discussion about how much some of this will cost and some of the logistics involved -- very useful stuff). Wine, chocolate, cheese, honey, tea, extra virgin olive oil, cured meats, balsamic vinegar, apples and beer. There's a chart for most of the food groups that shows the range of product types within each group that is helpful.
